Simple Beauty

Simple Beauty

I realised today I hadn’t blogged for a while so thought I’d better get myself sorted!

So today’s post is called Simple Beauty and was my entry in the ‘end of course photo competition’ of a training course that I attend.

I wanted to go for something simple, black and white and with a lighting effect and I must say I do rather like the end result.

I was third! Oh well some you win……

Dandelion

Dandelion

Well not much to say about this picture except it’s a HDR image of a dandelion!

Hope you enjoy it – take a look at my website http://www.imjphotoart.co.uk for more images

🙂

Canada Goose

Canada Goose

Today’s picture is simply called Canada Goose – simply because I couldn’t think of a witty title for it!

I’d love to say it was taken somewhere exotic but it was in fact taken at Orton Mere in Peterborough – which is very nice but not exactly exotic 🙂

I’m sure you must be tired of hearing it but don’t forget we are raising funds for Macmillan Cancer support and you can find full details at our website:

Through the Bullrushes

Through the Bullrushes

This is another brand new picture taken yesterday at Orton Mere in Peterborough.

I was looking around the lakes there and happened to notice some bullrushes that were still intact and thought they would make a nice foreground for this picture.

Bright Colours of the Garden

Bright Colours of the Garden

This is a picture that I took at the tail end of last year in October.

Unfortunately, it had been a struggle to get this Dahlia to grow but when it eventually did the wait was worth it and the colour really vibrant.

I hope you enjoy it too.

Quack!

Quack!

I’ve been a bit lazy with the blog just lately and only posted pictures rather than my thoughts on the world. I’ve been rather busy but wanted to keep the blog rolling along so have had to do quick posts.

This is no exception and I’ve chosen the picture simply because it is a bit of fun – well what do you expect from a picture that’s called Quack!

As always, please visit my website at http://www.imjphotoart.co.uk to view more of my work and please don’t forget you can now help us raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support – full details on the site.

Who goosed me?

Who goosed me?

OK so it’s a tongue in cheek title but it is Friday so I’m allowed.

This is a lovely picture (even if I do say so myself) of a Canada Goose taken at Stamford, near Peterborough.

Now I know it’s not going to win any prizes but I just love the way it shows off the feathers and the wings.

Well, I like it anyway – hope you do too.

Gull in Flight

Gull in Flight

This is a picture I took at Stamford near Peterborough. We were feeding the birds and I realised if I was patient I should get a really good ‘in-flight’ picture – and here it is!
