Hello – I’m back! I’ve had a rest from blogging, mainly because I got fed up with the problem with my blog posts transferring to Facebook if I’m honest. But I thought it was about time for a return so as I have some fantastic pictures to share – here I am 🙂

I’n sure I don’t have to tell you where this picture was taken but just in case you don’t know it’s in Paris from last year’s holiday. It’s one of several pictures of a similar view but this is the one I chose to keep as everything is right – from the boat going under the bridge to the skyline and also the lack of lorries in view!

As you can see it is presented in HDR format which I feel enhances it and makes it a far more dramatic picture.

I am currently updating my website with some new work but if you want to take a look the address is http://www.imjphotoart.co.uk

Until next time – stay focussed!

Barcelona Harbour

Barc 20c w

Well, it seems like ages since my last blog post – and in fact it is!

But here I am back with a burst of colour and a picture taken on my recent holiday to Barcelona. I actually visited both Barcelona and Paris so there will be plenty of pictures coming up!

I’m not sure if this should be called harbour or marina as it is the lead up to the marina – if anyone wants to correct me then please go ahead.

As those of you who follow my blog will know I am a fan of HDR so when I had the chance to get back to Barcelona I thought I would do it properly. Properly you may ask?? Well yes, those of you in the know will already know that there is a one click cheats way of doing HDR pictures and also the correct way i.e. 3 pictures that are combined. So my memory cards were full and it took me two days to complete them all.

Don’t worry – I’m not going to put them all on here 🙂

So if you like my post please show your appreciation and let me know.

Look out for more coming soon.

Exhibition Picture 3

Exhibition Picture 3

Here we are with the second post of the day and the 3rd in the run of my exhibition pictures.

This is a HDR picture of the entrance to the Bishop’s Palace in Peterborough. Unfortunately it wasn’t a particularly sunny day when I did this picture but as we pretty devoid of sunny days at the moment I thought it best not to wait for one as it could be a long wait!

If you want to see the prints that are on display just click on the picture and you’ll be taken the exhibitions page on my website. Please consider purchasing one of my prints as we are donating 50% of the profits to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Barcelona Street Art

Barcelona Street Art

Today we’re on a trip to Barcelona and a HDR image of some street art.

As you’re making your way through the alleyways of Barcelona you can’t help but admire the intricate artwork that adorns some of the buildings.

For more images of Barcelona just click on the picture and take a look at our Barcelona Gallery.

The Cloisters., Peterborough Cathedral

The Cloisters., Peterborough Cathedral

Today’s first post is a recent picture I took of the walls of the old cloisters at Peterborough Cathedral.

The architecture of the Cathedral and it’s surrounding cloisters make for some truly spectacular images.

Moulin Rouge

Moulin Rouge

My picture today sort of speaks for itself.

It’s the Moulin Rouge from Paris – I know you’d never have guessed it!

I had to crop this quite creatively to take out the cars that were passing and of course other tourists but it’s come out rather well!

It’s presented here in HDR and I hope you enjoy it

Colour Cathedral

Colour Cathedral

Today’s picture is another HDR image of Peterborough Cathedral but today I thought I’d share the colour version of a picture.

This was taken a few days ago and I love the way the architecture has been picked out by the HDR process.

Spooky Cathedral

Spooky Cathedral

This is a picture that I took a couple of days ago of the Cathedral in Peterborough.
As the light was really bright that day and I didn’t have my filters with me I had to hope for the best. Unfortunately it came out really washed out and the sky was just grey, bright nothing.
So I did a bit of tinkering in photoshop, gave it a HDR effect and finally I thought ‘I wonder what it would look like in Black and White?’
I have to say – I wasn’t disappointed.

I hope you enjoy this and for more of my work please visit my website where I am raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Jardin des Tuileries – Paris

Jardin des Tuileries - Paris

My photo today is an image I took on a recent trip to Paris.
It is the Jardin des Tuileries at the front of the Louvre. The gardens are beautiful and I decided I would give it an HDR treatment and was amazed at how it came out – especially the sky showing clearly the vapour trails from the planes.

To view more of my Paris images please visit the Paris gallery at my website http://www.imjphotoart.co.uk.

Brighton Pavillion

Brighton Pavillion

Off to the seaside today and a HDR image of Brighton Pavillion. This is one from the back catalogue that was taken last year and has just made it onto our website.
