I’ve been a bit lazy with the blog just lately and only posted pictures rather than my thoughts on the world. I’ve been rather busy but wanted to keep the blog rolling along so have had to do quick posts.
This is no exception and I’ve chosen the picture simply because it is a bit of fun – well what do you expect from a picture that’s called Quack!
As always, please visit my website at http://www.imjphotoart.co.uk to view more of my work and please don’t forget you can now help us raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support – full details on the site.
OK so it’s a tongue in cheek title but it is Friday so I’m allowed.
This is a lovely picture (even if I do say so myself) of a Canada Goose taken at Stamford, near Peterborough.
Now I know it’s not going to win any prizes but I just love the way it shows off the feathers and the wings.
Well, I like it anyway – hope you do too.
As always you can see more of my work at http://www.imjphotoart.co.uk or contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
The smell of lavender is relaxing – so some say. Not sure if I agree but there you go!
But anyway, I have a confession to make – this picture wasn’t supposed to be just a lovely picture of the lavender in my garden. I was actually trying to get a picture of the bees that kept landing on it.
Unfortunately the bees had other ideas and didn’t feel like being models for the day!
However they may have done me a favour as I do think that this picture has actually turned out OK minus the bees – I hope you enjoy it too.

This picture was taken in the gardens of Brighton Pavilion last year. I was experimenting with depth of field shots and think this one came out rather nicely even if I do say so myself.
Of course, I should be able to tell you which plant/flower it is but I’m not much of a gardener so I have no idea – if anyone wants to fill in the blank please feel free :-).

When I was deciding on the pictures for my ‘A Splash of Colour Calendar’ I was looking for inspiration for December and it actually came to me in my garden!
There were some strikingly red berries on my holly bush and after a little pruning (and a few pricks – excuse the double entendre!) I was finally able to capture this image and give it a Photoshop treatment to represent December.
The calendar is still available at http://www.imjphotoart.co.uk and is a snip at just £3.50.
Feel free to email me direct too at email@example.com with any questions you may have regarding any of my work.
This is a picture I took at Stamford near Peterborough. We were feeding the birds and I realised if I was patient I should get a really good ‘in-flight’ picture – and here it is!
This and others available from http://www.imjphotoart.co.uk.

You don’t have to travel far to find beautiful photographic subjects.
