Hello – I’m back! I’ve had a rest from blogging, mainly because I got fed up with the problem with my blog posts transferring to Facebook if I’m honest. But I thought it was about time for a return so as I have some fantastic pictures to share – here I am 🙂
I’n sure I don’t have to tell you where this picture was taken but just in case you don’t know it’s in Paris from last year’s holiday. It’s one of several pictures of a similar view but this is the one I chose to keep as everything is right – from the boat going under the bridge to the skyline and also the lack of lorries in view!
As you can see it is presented in HDR format which I feel enhances it and makes it a far more dramatic picture.
I am currently updating my website with some new work but if you want to take a look the address is http://www.imjphotoart.co.uk
Until next time – stay focussed!
Hello everyone or should I say bonjour mes amis.
It has been far too long since my last blog post and I thought I’d go for a Paris picture to get back in the swing.
I have to admit that I didn’t actually take the picture but I was stood next to the photographer as he took it! I then just got hold of it and gave it a HDR makeover 🙂
As you can see, it is a Paris street scene (never!) and now the difficult bit – the remembering where exactly we were when it was take.
Fairly sure we’d been to the Sacre Coeur and were walking around admiring the views and happened across this scene.
I could however be mistaken 🙂
But it is definitely Paris!
For more Paris pictures just click on picture and you’ll be taken to our website.
Til next time – au revoir.
Well, you wait months for a blog post and then two come along at once!
As I was adding some Paris shots onto our website I thought I’d share one of the pictures with you.
However, I am going to show my ignorance a little as it is a while since this picture was taken and I can’t quite remember the name of the actual building. So if anyone can help me then do please let me know.
I know that I was outside La Basilique du Sacré Cœur de Montmartre and this building is on the left as you face the entrance. I’m sure there are now people tutting and calling me all sorts of names but there we go – I’ll have to live with it.
It is again presented in HDR format and yes, I know for all you perfectionists that this ‘isn’t what’s seen through the lens’. However, I like the technique and as it’s my photo I reserve the right to present it any way I like 🙂
As I mentioned, I have just uploaded two new pages of Paris pictures so please head over to http://www.imjphotoart.co.uk and take a look (and before you tell me, I know Versailles isn’t actually in Paris but I had to put those pictures somewhere!)
You can also click on the picture and this will take you directly to my website.
So until my next post – au revoir.
We’re back to Paris today for our 11th picture from our exhibition series.
This is a HDR version of a Paris street scene that was taken a couple of years ago.
The effect really accentuates the ‘frenchness’ of the scene, bringing out the architecture in such an interesting way.
If you want to view the other pictures that are on display in Peterborough Museum just click on the picture.
We are raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support with each print we sell so with prices starting at just £4.00 please consider purchasing one 🙂
Today is picture number 4 of our exhibition pictures and we’re back to Paris – and that’s about all I can tell you about it at the moment.
I know I stand to upset quite a few Parisians but I really can;t remember on which building this clock is. If any of you do know then please feel free to comment and inform us all!
Well as you can see it is a HDR print which has accentuated the architecture and the sky very nicely.
If you want to see the rest of our exhibition prints then please click on the picture and you’ll be taken to the relevant page on our website.
We’re still in Paris for today’s blog post and it is a picture of the Eiffel Tower but given a silhoutte feel to it.
By making this black and white I feel it has really given the picture an interesting quality – well I like it anyway 🙂
For more of my work please click on the picture and you’ll be taken to the Paris gallery of my website.
We’re back to Paris for today’s post and a view of the Eiffel Tower taken from the Seine.
This was taken whilst we were on a river cruise along the Seine and if you are going to Paris and thinking of doing this it is highly recommended. You really do get to see Paris from a truly different perspective.
This has of course been given a HDR makeover – the main reason for this is that it was a bit of a dull day and giving it the makeover just brings out the character a bit more!
My website will be updated with this and lots more Paris pictures shortly but if you do want to see some more of my Paris pictures please click on the picture and you’ll be taken directly to my Paris gallery.
