Exhibition Picture 6 – The Underground

Exhibition Picture 6 - The Underground

We’re onto picture number 6 of our exhibition prints and today is ‘The Underground’.

This is one of my favourite pictures and also one of my first attempts at a HDR picture.

This is a cropped picture of the underground sign above Leicester Square Station in London that was then given a HDR makeover and even if I do say so myself, I think the results are wow!

Although you can’t see it here, this print looks amazing in a black frame so why don’t you pop onto my website (by clicking on the picture) and treat yourself to one!

All the profits from the sale of this print are being donated to Macmillan Cancer Support so please, please consider buying one 🙂

When a cause is very close to your heart there is never any doubt about whether you should help. That’s how I am with Macmillan Cancer Support. I, like many others have lost both family and friends to cancer and in my previous job at a company called Coloplast I used to speak to cancer sufferers (and also cancer survivors!) on a daily basis so I am only too aware of how this terrible illness can affect and change someone’s life.

Although more research needs to be done to try and find a cure for cancer, it is vital that those who have the disease and also their families receive the support they need to get them through this terrible ordeal as I am only too aware.

When I decided to branch out and run my own photography business it seemed the ideal opportunity to try and help Macmillan Cancer Support by donating a percentage of any profit that I make from the sale of my work to them. However I wanted to take this just a small step further and decided that I would donate 100% of any profit I made from the sale of my favourite piece of work to them and this is the piece that I chose:

I personally feel it is one of my most stunning images and it also ties in nicely to the 150th anniversary of the London Underground.

If you have taken the time to read this then I would ask you to please take a look at my website as the information on how you can buy this print is there – you can purchase one for as little as £4.00 and your purchase will help us towards our fundraising goal. However, we do not expect everyone to purchase a print from us, so if you visit the Macmillan page on the website you will see how you can donate without having to purchase a thing.

The website address is http://www.imjphotoart.co.uk – please take a look, help us support those who need it.

Thanks for reading.
